MANCHESTER UNITED fans have accused Jesse Lingard of covering up his bust-up with Paul Pogba over his latest Instagram upload.
The England international and his wantaway team-mate appeared to be involved in a row after touching down for their pre-season tour of Australia.
A clip doing the rounds online showed defender Victor Lindelof having to calm down a tense-looking Pogba after he looked to confront Lingard.
United supporters on social media were amazed as well as dismayed – because the clip was supposed to show the squad relaxing as they arrived in Perth.
Lingard seemed to be sternly questioning Pogba, who turned his back and appeared ready to step towards the fellow 26-year-old.
That was when Lindelof grabbed £150million-rated Pogba around the shoulder and walked on with him as if to cool the situation.
And Lingard appears to have attempted to diffuse the bust-up with a not-so subtle image of the duo.
It shows just the two of them during a training session in Perth as they warm up for their pre-season opener.
But United fans aren’t buying it.
One said: “Ole to Jesse: ‘Quick upload a picture of you and Paul so it looks like everything’s ok.'”
Another added: “I knew you would post a pic with Pogba… very predictable.”
A third bluntly added: “Leave the club.”
Pogba’s super agent Mino Raiola released a sensational statement slamming United for not defending his client.

He said: “The player [Pogba] has done nothing wrong.
“He has been respectful and professional in every way. The club knows his feelings for a long time.
“It is a shame that other people only like to criticise without the right information and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this.
“Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties.”
