JASON ROY has been cleared to play in the World Cup final despite his show of dissent against Australia.
The furious England opener seemed to swear and gesture towards umpire Kumar Dharmasena after he was wrongly given out caught behind off Pat Cummins on 85.
Roy, 28, was last night fined 30 per cent of his match fee and given two demerit points for a Level One breach of the ICC’s code of conduct.
But the Surrey star is still one demerit point shy of a suspension – meaning he is OK to face New Zealand at Lord’s.
ICC rules state a player is banned for two one-day internationals if they collect four points over two years.
But Roy’s only other demerit point was for an “audible obscenity” after dropping a catch against Pakistan earlier in the tournament.

England’s other opener Jonny Bairstow received treatment when he was batting for what appeared to be a groin injury.
But captain Eoin Morgan said: “I’m not sure what it was but he seemed to move all right after it, so it is not very concerning I don’t think.
“It might be a niggle, we don’t know until he is scanned. But after it, he seemed to move well, so that’s a good sign.”
