Beach-goers are loving this £9 mitt that removes sand in seconds – and it has hundreds of five-star reviews
BEACH days are bound to be plentiful this summer – with the school holidays soon to start and the warm weather sticking around for the season.
And while building sandcastles and splashing in the sea great fun for all the family, going home covered head to to in sand can be an irritating end to a sun-soaked day out on the coast.
But a £9.65 cleaning mitt could be the solution, as it claims to remove sand from your body with just a couple of wipes, and it’s available worldwide on Amazon.
The Sand-Off Beach Sand Cleaner works due to talcum-free, child-friendly powder hidden in the mitt that breaks bonds made between your skin and the sand particles.
All the user needs to do is slip the mitt over their hand and rub it over their skin to remove the sand, with it even working through the presence of sun cream.
The mitt lasts for up to 40 full-body uses, so it will keep you and the family covered for your entire day out and more, with many parents utilising the tool at playground sandboxes.

And the sand-removing glove, which is made from a soft cotton-polyester woven material, has already proven to be a hit with beach-goers, racking up hundreds of five-star reviews online.
One customer wrote: “My kids and I love the beach, but don’t love that gritty sand feeling you get for the rest of the day. We don’t go to the beach without our Sand-Off mitt.”
Another agreed: “No more tracking sand into the car or the house – I love it! I’m going to stock up on them for the summer.”
“This is just magic,” said a third. “Just gently rub with the mitt and the sand falls right off – nothing works like it. My kids love it and insist we use it every time we visit the beach.”
However, a few reviewers were disappointed that the mitt can’t be re-filled with the powder, as instead it is thrown away and replaced when it no longer works.
“It works great but it’s a bit of a waste,” one parent wrote. “No way to refill the powder so when it’s done you just toss it in the bin… It would be better to sell re-fills.”
Another reviewer added: “It certainly worked and got all the sand off – but it only lasted a few weeks before I needed another one.”
The handy product can be shipped from America to the UK for just £3.75 postage and packaging.
