JURGEN KLOPP has conceded Liverpool do not have the financial clout to spend £300million every summer – unlike “big favourites” for the Premier League Manchester City.
The Reds have only signed young PEC Zwolle defender Sepp van den Berg, 17, in a £1.3m deal so far this year.

In contrast City have already splashed £81m on Atletico Madrid star Rodri, PSV left-back Angelino and Columbus Crew keeper Zack Steffen.
But Klopp, 52, insists that – even though the Reds can’t afford a spending spree this summer – he is happy with his side’s transfer strategy.
The German told the club’s official website: “We are pretty relaxed in that, we will see what’s coming up.
“It will not be the biggest transfer window, we invested a lot in the team in the last two years, I would say.
“We cannot spend every year in the same manner.
“People talk about it like: ‘Now another £300m or £200m’.
“There are maybe only two clubs in the world – it looks in the moment like Barcelona and [Real] Madrid can do the same – City and PSG that can do it every year.”
Liverpool have forked out more than £300m over the last two years on new players including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Alisson.

Klopp has also admitted Liverpool won’t be Premier League title favourites next season – despite starting the campaign as the reigning champions of Europe.
He added: “It would be great if we could be around Man City again because that’s the only possibility to have to pass them because it is already clear they are the big favourite again. No problem with that.
“They have a very good situation, which they showed last year especially after having 100 points in the season before – the greed they showed, the determination they showed, it was just impressive.”
