SHADOW minister Emily Thornberry was rushed to hospital after being knocked off her bike near Parliament.
The Labour MP reportedly collided with a taxi at around lunchtime today in Westminster close to the House of Commons.
Thornberry – the Islington South and Finsbury MP – was taken to A&E after paramedics and cops raced to the scene.
A spokesperson for the shadow foreign secretary said: “Emily is recovering in hospital, and is hugely grateful for the support of the ambulance crew and A&E staff who have helped her since this incident.
“We hope she will be back on her feet, back to work, and back on her bike as soon as possible.”
She has since been discharged, with well-wishers flooding her Twitter to wish her a speedy recovery.
One said: “Really hope my brilliant & much loved local MP, @EmilyThornberry, is not too badly hurt in her cycling accident in Parliament Square today and/or makes a swift recovery!”

“A swift and speedy recovery to her.”
It emerged last month that Jeremy Corbyn allies are discussing reshuffling Thornberry out of her post as a punishment for openly backing a second Brexit vote to betray millions of voters.
She has been outspoken on the subject of wanting a second referendum on Brexit, and arguing that she would vote remain.
