Emmerdale spoilers: Kerry and Amy START the devastating factory fire after stealing the charity money to pay off Belfast debt
THERE are some tough times coming up for Kerry Wyatt and her daughter Amy in Emmerdale after they accidentally kill a local when they start a fire in the sweet factory.
The day after Bernice Blackstock’s Wild West fundraiser will see Amy and Kerry desperate to get together the money they need to pay off Amy’s debt from Belfast.
It’s not long before Kerry – who’s played by Laura Norton in the ITV soap – remembers the charity money which has been stored in the safe at the factory.
She hatches a plan and sets off the fire alarm so she can steal the cash while no one else is there.
But Kerry is horrified when she later discovers that she’s been caught on CCTV and Amy tells her she has to cover their tracks.
The women let themselves back into the factory and set about sabotaging the CCTV before leaving.
What they don’t realise though is that the damage that’s been done to the CCTV starts a fire.
A relieved Amy – Natalie Ann Jamieson – hands over the money she owes outside the Village Hall and she and Kerry walk away, hopeful that the nightmare is over.
It’s actually only just beginning though and – back at the factory – the fire begins to spread.
Tracy Metcalfe – Amy Walsh – finds herself trapped in the storeroom and panics as she tries to get out.

The fire rages as the villagers rush to scene to help. The next day the police and fire investigators sort through the ruins of the factory and Jai Sharma is determined to get to the truth.
Meanwhile, at the Woolpack, Kerry tells Amy she’s sure that they’re not to blame for the fire, but is she right?
It was confirmed earlier this month that at least one villager would lose their life in the terrifying blaze.
The show’s Executive producer Jane Hudson said of the summer storylines: “Not everybody will make it out alive, whether that’s one, two, three or four, you’re just going to have to see.”
But with several of the soap’s beloved characters facing their own secret turmoil- who will burn to death in the shock blaze?
