GARETH BALE will leapfrog Lionel Messi to become the best-paid player in the world should he sign the £1million-a-week deal on the table from China.
This weekend, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane sensationally revealed he hoped to get rid of Bale in the coming days.

The bizarre comments sparked a mad scramble for the Welsh star’s signature – with Manchester United and Tottenham thought to be interested.
However, Bale, 30, is set to be offered £1m-a-week from an unnamed Chinese Super League side – with that kind of money tough to turn down.
Both Jiangsu Suning and Beijing Guoan have been reported to be the big-spending admirers.
The former Spurs winger had claimed he was only interested in a move to a European club.
MORE THAN MESSI
But should they baulk at his already sky-high £600,000-a-week wages, Bale may have no option other than to head to China.
That move could potentially be a FREE transfer, with Los Blancos that keen to offload his pay-packet.
Should Bale pocket the proposed £1m per week, it would make him then highest-paid footballer ever – eclipsing Messi’s monster £900,000-a-week mark.
Cristiano Ronaldo currently sits second with his £850,000 weekly wages at Juventus – ahead of Barcelona new-boy Antoine Griezmann (£725,000).

Neymar, potentially on his way back to Barca, is on £675,000-a-week at Paris Saint-Germain, while ANOTHER Nou Camp star, Luis Suarez, is fifth on the list (£625,000).
That puts Bale’s £600,000 per week sixth on the list with Alexis Sanchez (£505,000) and Philippe Coutinho (£500,000) rounding out the top eight.
Man Utd are reportedly keen to offload Sanchez’s sky-high wages, while Barca are feeling the same way about Coutinho – who could be on his way back to Liverpool.
