Key Molecomb Stakes contenders
Liberty Beach 7-4f
Very fast filly who took her form to a new level when bolting up in a Listed contest at Sandown last time out, impressing with her visuals.
Gets a fillies’ allowance here and that will see her very difficult to beat if producing her devastating turn of foot at this idiosyncratic track.

Maven 3-1
Wesley Ward brings a very interesting colt to play in this, with both his starts so far having resulted in narrow victories.
He won a Group 3 last time out in Chantilly and clearly has bucketloads of pace. This sharp track should be ideal with Frankie up top.
Rest of the field
Air Force Jet 12-1
Dr Simpson 12-1
Hand Of My Heart 14-1
Alligator Alley 16-1
Fan Club Rules 16-1
Raahy 20-1
Show Me Show Me 20-1
Wheels Of Fire 25-1
Aussie Showstopper 40-1
Cool Sphere 66-1
Zulu Xander 100-1
How will the race pan out?
Maven is more than likely going to lead, with Wesley Ward’s horses always happiest out at the front.
Dr Simpson showed impressive speed at Chester and is likely to try and force it, while Liberty Beach will be held up in rear.
Betting advice for the big one
Liberty Beach is clearly very smart and will take all the beating with her allowance, but this could go to DR SIMPSON.
Tom Dascombe’s two-year-old pulverised his opposition at Chester last time out and has all the hallmarks of a very fast sprinter indeed.
Maven is unexposed but I can see him fading late on.
Take advantage of Unibet’s £10-£40 offer as Dr Simpson is a cracking each-way bet.
