Love Island’s Gabby Allen accused of begging for £15 freebie earrings on Instagram and failing to promote them
LOVE Island’s Gabby Allen has been accused of begging for £15 earrings as a freebie and failing to promote them amid her break up with Myles Stephenson.
The reality TV star – who caught her ex sexting other girls – was sent two pairs of gold hoops by online accessories boutique ZAHAR & CO back in February ahead of her trip to the Caribbean.
Three months later, Gabby posted a snap of herself on holiday wearing the £9 star hoops from a distance.
She messaged the brand to thank them for the earrings, saying she “loved” them, but the other pair of pearl hoops were never promoted.
Boutique owner Harley Smith said she was left “extremely upset” after being “ignored” by the 27-year-old ever since.
When The Sun Online approached Gabby – who has 1.1million Instagram followers – her representative said she was now in touch with Zahar & Co and would be doing another post.
Harley says it’s unacceptable for Instagram influencers to expect free goods, but fail to deliver on their side of the bargain.
She added: “It’s extremely upsetting after all of the hard work I’ve put into this start-up to find that Gabby was happy to take the product but has not kept her word and promoted it.
“You put your trust in influencers when you send them free goods so you really feel let down when they don’t honour their word.
“Based on my experience to date, it would put me off working with her in the future.
“I’m extremely disappointed that this has been the result after giving Gabby ample opportunity to honour her commitment.
“It’s frustrating that I only got a reply to my latest message because there was the chance that a negative story was going to run.”
Scarlett Moffatt came under fire recently for failing to follow through with her promise after saying she would do “lots of posts” on Instagram in exchange for a £150 skirt.

She later apologised to the boutique over the “misunderstanding” and insisted the reason she failed to promote the clothing item is because she is bad at admin.
Many Instagram followers collaborate with brands, with the expectation they get freebies in exchange for tagging them in their posts to their millions of followers.
Gabby – who found fame on Love Island in 2017 – was this week left heartbroken by her X Factor boyfriend Myles after discovering he had been messaging other girls.
After confirming the split, Gabby begged fans for information about his cheating after growing suspicious in recent months.
