THIS year’s Europa League group stage is almost upon us.
Last year’s beaten finalists Arsenal are joined by giants including Manchester United, Sevilla, AC Milan, Lazio and Roma who are all set to battle it out for a place in May’s Gdansk finale.

When is the Europa League group stage draw?
THIS year’s group stage draw will be held in the lavish surroundings of Monaco.
Expect bigwigs from some of Europe’s top clubs to be in attendance, as well as ex-winners and current managers.
It will be held on Friday, August 30.
Things will get underway at midday BST.
Which TV channel and live stream can I watch it on?
THERE are plenty of ways to catch the draw on numerous devices.
If you want to watch on TV, BT Sport will be broadcasting proceedings from the south of France on BT Sport 2.
BT subscribers can live stream by downloading the BT Sport app on their mobile, tablet or PC.
Whilst everyone else can head to Uefa’s official website, where there will be an official HD stream starting moments before the draw begins.

Following this, the pots for the draw will be decided ahead of the draw in Monaco the following day.
Teams from the same federation CAN’T be drawn in the same group – so there’s no chance of Arsenal facing Manchester United until later in the competition.
In total, 48 sides will compete in the group stage:
- 17 automatic qualifiers
- 21 play-off winners
- 6 UEFA Champions League play-off losing teams
- 4 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round losing teams
