NEIGHBOURS of a girl allegedly kept prisoner by her parents for ten years say social services were warned repeatedly.
The 19-year-old was rescued from the home last week following a tip-off.
A teenage girl has been rescued from her home after allegedly being kept prisoner there by her parents for ten years. Pictured posed by model[/caption]
But residents in the road outside Tenterden, Kent, say officials were called after the girl “disappeared” when she was five or six.
They also reported hearing “strange noises” from the house.
One added: “Lots of people have been calling social services.
This has been going on for years. She was a lovely normal girl — then nothing.
“She was taken out of school because she was being bullied, which probably hasn’t helped.
‘THEY BECAME RECLUSES’
“They have become recluses. It’s very sad.
“Whatever has happened to her in the house probably can’t be reversed.”
The teenager was taken away in an ambulance after cops were called on August 22.

Her parents were arrested on suspicion of neglect and have been released on bail.
Another neighbour described the dad as a “nice enough guy . . . but odd”.
They added: “He told everyone that his family was sick and scared of going out, but he would suffer it less.”
