Liverpool actually began this run against the Clarets last season.
The previous record of 12 was set in the 189/1990 season.
And fans will be hoping this could be a lucky omen – that was the season they won their one and only league title.
Goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino and an unlucky own goal from Chris Wood saw the Reds to a comfortable-as-you-like 3-0 win at Turf Moor.
FAB FIRMINO
As well as setting the record for the most wins in a row, there were some other records broken.
It was the first time the Reds have won their opening four matches in back-to-back seasons.
And It was also their first clean sheet of the 2019/20 campaign.
Finally on a day full of positives, Firmino’s goal made him the first Brazilian to score 50 Premier League goals.
RECORDS SMASHED
SunSport reported how Mane was raging after being subbed in Liverpool’s win.
Mane was taken off on 85 minutes, just after Mo Salah failed to pass to him with the goal gaping.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted: “There was a situation in the game he was not happy about it. He was upset, that is obvious.
“He can’t hide his emotion. Would he do it like this again, probably not. He is completely fine and everything is good and we completely like each other.
“Sadio is an emotional guy, we are all individuals. Something went not like he wanted, it is not the substitution.”
Asked if it was about a pass he wanted to receive Klopp said ‘yeah’.

As the Senegal star sat on the bench he was seen shouting at a member of the club staff and gesticulating wildly.
Despite that incident Klopp was delighted as Liverpool set a new club record of 13 consecutive league wins, beating the mark set by Kenny Dalglish’s title-winning side in 1990.
Klopp added: “Very early when I came in I told everyone we want to create our own history and that is what the boys do week in, week out.”
