EASTENDERS’ Mitchell family will be left devastated by a shock death as Jay Brown breaks down at a funeral this Autumn.
In new pictures, Undertaker manager Jay – played by Jamie Borthwick, can be seen next to a hearse as he tries to fix a faulty tire.

He’s joined by Ben Mitchell, as well as Billy Mitchell and on-off love interest Lola Pearce as they try to fix the hearse, after another death in Walford.
Jay breaks down in more ways than one as he’s seen being consoled by Lola at one point as she grabs hold of his arm before placing a hand on his back as he looks at the coffin in despair as to what to do.
The identity of the person inside the coffin is being kept closely under wraps, however a show source told The Daily Star Sunday: “It’s not one of the central characters.
“But, as with any death on EastEnders, it will be a big moment for the fans.”

The action just keeps on coming on the BBC One soap, with a huge week ahead thanks to Callum and Whitney’s wedding, as well as Hunter and Mel Owen’s attempted escape from Walford.
Viewers are currently convinced Mel – Tamzin Outhwaite – is going to die after she brandished a gun earlier this week.
Mel was clearly distressed after getting confronted about Hunter’s escape from prison by Sharon, Billy and Ben.
Although unbeknown to them, Mel is hiding Hunter following his jail break, and as she managed to sneak off to take a phone call in her office at the E20 bar, it was clear Ben was suspicious of her, as he followed her.

Pressuring her to give him information about Lisa Fowler, Mel relented and gave Ben her address, before raiding her private safe until she pulled out a gun, leaving fans of the BBC soap to begin predicting that Mel might be the one to die soon.
Back in July, The Sun exclusively revealed how Tamzin, 48, was leaving the soap as part of an “explosive final storyline”.
However her departure, and that of on-screen son Hunter, has nothing to do with the latest funeral pictures with Jay.

In the snaps, the coffin is draped with an England flag with floral tributes either side, although it’s not clear what they say.
Ben – played by Max Bowden- is initially seen suited and booted but as he helps Jay sort out the hearse, he ends up without his suit jacket.
Meanwhile Lola – played by Danielle Harold – and Billy (Perry Fenwick) are dressed more casually as they also rush to Jay’s aid in his time of need.
