Girl, 7, collapses in her brother’s arms at the grave of their teen sibling who was knifed to death
THE mum of a teen stabbed to death has shared a heartbreaking photo of his big brother comforting his little sister at his grave to highlight the devastating impact of knife crime.
Tyler Thompson, 16, died in hospital from a stab wound to the chest after a street fight in Leicester in November 2015.
His killer Pravdit Sian, 19, was handed a nine-year sentence for manslaughter and had previously been cautioned for carrying a knife.
Tyler’s mum Amy Morgan, who has since campaigned for tougher knife crime sentences, shared the photo of 23-year-old Kyle comforting Olivia, 7, at Tyler’s grave to show the horrifying reality of Britain’s knife crime epidemic.
By May, there had already been 100 fatal stabbings this year in England and Wales.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror she said: “To anyone thinking of going out with a knife look at this image of my kids at Tyler’s grave. That’s what you don’t see. This is the raw grief we’ve been through.
“You don’t see the affects of what you’re going to do. You don’t smell the body of the person you have stabbed rotting in the coffin.
“You don’t have to identify the body or watch your children collapse on the floor where their brother was stabbed to death. It’s horrendous.
“How do you explain to a little girl that her brother is six feet under the ground in a coffin. You can’t, can you?
“In the picture Kyle is just trying to comfort her and explain that nobody can hurt Tyler any more and that he’s in a safe place.
“Obviously, she’s just devastated. We all are. It doesn’t matter how long it has been it still gets you like it was the first day.”

Tyler, who was one of nine siblings, was stabbed to death on November 24 2015 in front of his older brother Kyle.
His killer had been let off with a caution for carrying a knife 14 months earlier.
Amy believes her son would still be alive if Sian had been jailed instead.
She told The Sun: “Every day, driving my kids to school, I have to go past the place where my son lost his life at the hands of someone I passionately believe should have been in prison instead of walking the streets.
“Tyler’s killer stabbed my son twice, straight through the heart and he got nine years for that.
“His death has totally destroyed my family. I had an eight-week-old baby at the time he died, along with Tyler’s other young siblings.
“How do you explain to them that their brother isn’t coming back?
“It doesn’t seem real. It still hasn’t sunk in and it has almost been four years.”
