ITV want chat show host Craig Ferguson to fill the void left by Jeremy Kyle.
Craig, 57, replaced by James Corden on The Late Late Show in the US, has begun work with the same production team behind Kyle’s axed ITV series.

At his peak, the outspoken presenter pulled in more than 1.8million viewers in the US. He has already shot a pilot of The Craig Ferguson Show, where he chats with guests about issues in the news in front of a studio audience.
It is being overseen by Jon Millership — a top producer on Kyle’s show before it was axed this year after the death of a guest.
Topics up for debate on Craig’s new programme include serial cheating and being a single parent.
Ferguson returned from Hollywood to his native Scotland several years ago. He performed stand-up comedy at last month’s Edinburgh Festival.

A source said: “Craig is huge in the US. In terms of being outspoken and encouraging debate he could give Jeremy Kyle a run for his money.
“ITV have been working on the show over the summer with bosses hoping it will get the green light for next year.”
