IT was ANOTHER tricky week for episode six of The Great British Bake Off as the bakers were set some hard tasks for Desserts Week.
Here are all the best moments that went down in the legendary white tent as the contestants tried to impress Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
Three things we learnt from Bake Off 2019 Week Six
WARNING: Contains spoilers from episode six of Bake Off 2019
1) Getting their just desserts
For Dessert Week, the Signature bake was a difficult layered meringue cake – which had to have a minimum of three layers and be large enough to share with friends.
Unfortunately the bakers didn’t do too well and it was only Steph really that got praise from Paul and Prue
It was again another tricky Technical Challenge and was hailed as “the most complex Technical Challenges the Bake Off has ever seen”.
The bakers had to make six identical layered Verrines and they did A LOT better than had recently.
The last few weeks the bakers haven’t done too well – Alice won the Technical this week.
The intricate Showstopper task Celebratory Bomb Dessert didn’t go down too well with the judges – with only a few of the bakers winning praise.

3) The sixth Star Baker
Before we had to say goodbye to another baker, Steph Blackwell got her time in the limelight as Star Baker… AGAIN.
It was a great week for Steph who excelled in all three challenges this week.
She has now been named Star Baker THREE weeks in a row.
4) The sixth contestant to get the boot
Unfortunately Priya didn’t produce the perfect finale as a dessert for Judges Paul and Prue, but did manage to get over halfway through the competition.
Speaking after getting the boot Priya said: “I struggled with timing throughout the series, and this week, for the first time I actually finished all my bakes on time – they just weren’t perfect enough for the judges.”
On her time on the show she added: “My goal was to make it past half way so while I was sad to leave when I did, I was proud to have made it this far.
“Knowing that you are now part of the Bake Off family, to be part of that amazing club is such a huge personal achievement for me, and I will treasure my time and experience in the tent.”
