ARSENAL have joined Manchester United in the race for £15million Russian strike sensation Aleksandr Sobolev.
The Krylia Sovetov frontman has just won a place in Russia’s national side after topping the league’s scoring charts.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set his sights on Sobolev, with the 22-year-old bagging ten goals in 12 games this season.
But Gunners manager Unai Emery is also interested in the 6ft 4ins striker, who was born in Siberia.
And Arsenal scouts checked on Sobolev on Saturday, when he scored both goals in Krylia’s 2-0 win at Sochi.
The former Russia Under-21 ace confirmed the North Londoners’ interest – and played down talk of a move to United.

“Manchester United’s interest? I can’t even imagine how this could be.
