Fans were left calling for a refund at the lazy booking as the Beastslayer retained his belt after getting himself disqualified… in a NO DQ match.
WWE later tried to claim that the official finish of the match was a ref stoppage but that didn’t spare them from being widely trolled.
And never missing an opportunity to get stuck in, porn giants Brazzers told Vince McMahon to give them a call if they need any help in creating “coherent storylines with satisfying finishes.”
Either way, the joke seemed to slightly cheer up disgruntled WWE fans, with one tweeting: “Oh no, don’t bareback WWE.”
Another said: “I don’t know, incest might be too much for pro wrestling,” to which someone replied: “You must not have heard of the planned Vince/Stephanie incest angle from years ago.”
One fan asked if this could be an elaborate plan for WWE to team up with Brazzers in the near future, to demonstrate a different type of tag-team.
“Their storylines are far better than the Lashley – Lana stuff!”
Following the botched finish on Sunday, fans called for the match to be restarted before a chorus of boo’s rung out around the arena after the two wrestlers made their way up the ramp.
There were even chants of AEW, a serious blow to WWE chiefs with Shahid Khan’s promotion gaining serious momentum in the pro wrestling market.
Khan, owner of NFL side Jacksonville Jaguars as well Fulham, has already seen ex-WWE stars Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho join his stable.
