NICOLA McLean claims Rebekah Vardy has started legal action against Coleen Rooney after she accused her fellow WAG of leaking stories about her.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star, who is married to ex-Peterborough United and Gillingham defender Tom Williams, also slated Coleen for  wrongly naming and shaming her rival on social media, sparking an onslaught of trolling towards pregnant Rebekah.

Speaking on talkRADIO to The Sun’s Executive Editor Dan Wootton, Nicola, who spoke to Rebekah before going on air, said: “Yes, I do think she will go legal. The ball has already started with that.

And on her pal’s abuse on social media, she added: “Coleen knows what she’s doing.

“She knows what she’s doing by putting that statement out on Twitter, she knew what was going to happen to Becky and she’s sitting back and letting it happen.

“She’s not the one writing these tweets but really she is to blame and she should come out and say it needs to stop.

“We’re talking about a woman who is seven months pregnant. It’s not proven. ‘Wagatha Christie’ proved it was from Rebekah’s account – not fromRebekah [herself].

“So phone Rebekah, have the decency to phone her and say ‘this is coming from your account – was it you?’

“Rebekah would have instantly cleared this up. I know she would have got onto it straight away.

“Instead she decided to go public – and we don’t understand why.

WAG Lizzie Cundy, 49, agreed Coleen, 33, was wrong to call out Rebekah, 37, on social media, saying: “I wouldn’t have done it.

“If I didn’t trust people, I would just block them out of my life. That’s how I would have done it.

“But Coleen obviously felt strongly about it as it’s affected her family life.”

Nicola also defended Rebekah for laying into Danielle Lloyd after the scouse model ex of Spurs star Teddy Sheringham, West Ham striker Jermain Defoe and Portsmouth midfielder Jamie O’Hara, claimed the pregnant WAG sold stories on her too.

She said: “If Becky Vardy wanted to sell stories on Danielle Lloyd she could have.

“Rebekah tweeted yesterday to say what Danielle Lloyd said was ‘utter B’ and ‘she was just furious I didn’t get Jamie to recruit players when she asked me’.

“I’ve seen that text from Danielle Lloyd to Rebekah Vardy. She asked Rebekah to recruit a footballer for her – and Rebekah could have sold that.

“If she wanted to Be mean, she could be.”

Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking three stories about her to The Sun during a sensational social media post on Wednesday.

Rebekah, wife of Leicester City striker Jamie, has denied any involvement.
