Hunt for ‘scumbag’ couple caught on CCTV urinating in a lift

A SEARCH has been launched for a couple after video emerged of them urinating in the corner of an elevator.

CCTV footage from inside a lift at a Surfers Paradise RSL building in Gold Coast, Australia show the man and woman enter the lift at 10.25pm last Friday night.

The man, who is holding a beer, appears to go to the corner of the elevator and unzip his trousers.

The woman is seen laughing as she presses all the buttons and then squats down in another corner to urinate.

At one point she leans over to push more of the buttons before returning to her squatting position.

Footage of the incident was posted to Facebook by Jane Elliott, who works in the six storey building and also uses the lift.

“Anyone know these low-life animals? If so, please let me know,” she wrote.

“Please share and ask your friends to share.

“These scumbags think urinating in a lift is socially acceptable.

“This happened at the RSL Centre in Surfers Paradise on Friday night just gone.

“The police would like to have a chat to them.

“Personally, I’d like to rub their faces in it.”

Social media users reacted to the footage with outrage.

“Hope the police get to meet them. Horrendous,” one person wrote.

“Hopefully someone will identify these disrespectful grubs,” said another.

Ms Elliot later commented saying that someone had messaged her and given her the details of the woman, which she had then passed on to the police.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed to news.com.au that the police were investigating the incident.
