Today’s acca selections come from Newmarket where there’s a competitive card to get your teeth into.

It’s a serious end of season card over at Newmarket and fingers crossed the weather doesn’t effect the racing as much as it could.

In the opener ASCENSION (1.45) can get us off to a flyer on his handicap bow.

Big things were expected on debut from this chap and why he blew his lines there he has since come good in some fashion and this looks a cracking opportunity.

In the Group 3 for two-year-olds MOLATHAM (2.55) should take all the beating for the Roger Varian camp.

There is undoubtedly plenty of horses in here with untapped potential, but our fancy has the form in the book and shaped very nicely at Doncaster last time.

He beat Wichita that day and Aidan O’Brien’s colt has trumped that form already in some style.

He’s shocking value on his own but PINATUBO (3.30) should tie this treble up in the Group 1 Dewhurst.

This is arguably easier than his last couple of assignments and nothing is yet to get close to him. There’s a couple of progressive types in here but it would go down as one of the upsets of the season if he was downed here.
