Chelsea boss Lampard and Prince William surprise England fans and enjoy a pint in London pub for Euro qualifier
CHELSEA boss Frank Lampard joined Prince William to surprise England fans and enjoy a pint in a London pub for their Euro 2020 qualifier on Friday night.
The pair visited the Prince Albert pub in Battersea as they took in the Three Lions’ 2-1 defeat to Czech Republic.
Lampard and the Duke of Cambridge spoke to fans who’ve been supported by mental health charities Mind and Calm.
The trip to the pub was part of the Heads Up campaign, tackling mental health issues amongst football fans.
The idea is to get fans of the sport to open up and talk about any problems they may have, rather than suffer in silence.
The supporters at the Battersea bar were all joined by a friend or family member who’s helped them through their darkest moments.

The group of fans chatted with keen Aston Villa fan Prince William and the Chelsea boss about their experiences, all the while watching England take on Czech Republic in Prague.
Speaking of the Heads Up initiative, Prince William said: “This year, the FA and Heads Together have joined forces to launch Heads Up.
“[It’s] showing the world of football that our mental health is just as important as our physical health, and that we all need to take care of our everyday mental fitness.
“[We must] provide support to one another when we face setbacks, so we can be match fit for whatever lies ahead.”
