THE search for a missing man who fell into a sinkhole and disappeared will continue into a second week.
The unidentified male was believed to have been swept away by underground water currents last Monday.
Authorities in Hermosillo, Mexico, are trying to track down the man who could be trapped in drainage pipes.
They have been manually searching the tunnels in the race against time to find him, ABC15 reported.
Recently, fire department officials from Phoenix, Arizona, were also deployed to assist in the search.
‘COMPLEX RESCUE OPERATION’
There they lent technical expertise to aid in what they described as a “complex rescue operation”.
They hoped to ensure searches were conducted “effectively and safely”.
The US advisory team were sent to Mexico due to Hermosillo and Phoenix being sister cities.
