A BRIT teen’s statement retracting a gang rape claim in Cyprus had so many grammatical errors it was labelled “a joke”.
Twelve Israeli cadets were rounded up but later released after detectives said she had retracted her statement.
Her statement was then used to charge her with public mischief after police said she fabricated the attack.
If convicted the girl, who is said to be suffering from PTSD, could be jailed for up to a year.
Speaking about the statement, she said she feared cops would kill her if she did not sign it.
One bit reads: “That night I discovered them recording me doing sexual intercourse.”
Lawyer Michael Polak said: “We are talking about a highly educated girl and it’s written in laughable dodgy English.”
Her parents have set up a Go Fund Me Page to help pay for legal costs and travel expenses for the trial which continues next month.
