How did the draft work?
The eight teams chose up to three England red ball contracted players in the first stage.
Teams with those players within their catchment area could choose their preferred star.
The remaining players were allocated to their local team, while other teams could negotiate with the players.
The second stage saw teams take it in turns to have 100 seconds to choose who they wanted in their team.
They have different price bands to select for, starting at £125,000 to £30,000 – this is how much the player would earn for the tournament.
Two players could be picked for each price band, with seven rounds in total – but each side could only select three overseas players.
The local icons filled two of the spots, but that could be at any price band.
Each player applying for the competition had to select a reserve price, meaning they would not join a team for less – Chris Gayle was among those that selected the £125k band but was not picked.
At the end of all the rounds, teams would have 15 players in their team.
Yet, the third stage will have to wait until next year, with each team able to sign a wildcard pick, taken from the eight highest-performing 2020 Vitality Blast players.
When does The Hundred start?
The Hundred will start in July 2020.
There will be a men’s and women’s competition, running side-by-side each other.
Each team will have at least two grounds to play in, as they look to fans from all over the country can attend.
