Re-usable pumpkins from £1
A large carving pumpkin can cost up to £3 in some supermarkets. But do your research and you can find one for just a quid.
We found Tesco and Morrisons are selling standard sized pumpkins for £1, while the latter also has carving kits for just £1.
But a good way to squash the cost is to buy a re-usable pumpkin which you can dig out from the cupboard again next year.

Poundland has an array of gourd-inspired decorations, which can be bought in its 500 branches across the UK. Find your nearest one using its website.
For just a quid, you can snap up pumpkin ceramic “tlight” holders and mini pumpkin fairy lights, which you can resurrect next year.
