ITV bosses have been forced to review their security arrangements after The Sun were offered access to the jungle by an ex-employee.
The disgruntled former staffer, who came forward to expose “lapses” in the show’s ring of steel, said they could get us within 100 metres of this series’ stars.
The ITV show is filmed on a former banana plantation in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, and is manned 24 hours a day by burly security staff.
A source said: “There are specific points on the site where security is lacking.
“There’s ways to get very close to the celebrities where you could shout and they’d hear you.
“The former staff member came forward to try and expose the potential risks that the campmates could face if the information got in the wrong hands.”

The Sun declined their offer to enter camp, before informing ITV of the potential for a breach.
An ITV spokesman said: “We have a security team on site 24 hours a day and the safety of our celebrities and crew is of the utmost importance.”
