The swear word echoed around the 300-year-old church – much to the amusement of the packed audience.
A source told The Sun: “He finished his reading, but then stacked it and hit his head as he walked back to his seat.
“Lots of people rushed to see if he was OK – but he laughed about it.”
They continued: “He swore really loudly – it reverberated around the church.”
The star was doing the reading at a fundraising Carol Service for charity African Promise last week in the St Giles-in-the-Fields Church in London’s West End.
The organisation works with primary schools in rural Kenya to improve education, and Blessed has been a long-time supporter of their work.

As well as national treasure Blessed, actress Felicity Kendall, Poldark star Luke Norris and voice of Channel 4’s First Dates Brian Protheroe also did a reading.
Gospel choir Enchorus – who have sung on The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice – performed a series of songs at the event.
A spokesperson for Blessed told The Sun: “He just grazed his knee. He was fine and didn’t have to go to hospital. “
