She wrote: “Sprayed on my jewellery and left it soaking in a small dish for about 30 minutes.
“The dirt was floating and the jewellery shining.”
Her revelation impressed another member, who replied: “Wow, amazing! I must try this on my Pandora gems.”

But several warned that the spray – which is only available in Aldi in Australia – may damage certain jewellery items, and recommended people proceed with caution.
One person wrote: “Do not do this! Coming from a jeweller!”
They added: “The chemicals will slowly eat into your jewellery and end up ruining it.
“It’s a blend of chemicals, it’s not a gentle, natural product.”
Many members warned her to be “careful” of using chemicals on precious metals[/caption]A third shared: “Nope, no way I would ever use laundry cleaner to clean jewellery of any value.”
And a fourth added: “Probably not a good idea on precious metals.”
Another noted: “Damage can be done to jewellery by using the wrong products on it, often can’t be seen until it’s too late.”
To remove dirt carefully, one person recommended: “I was told by my jeweller to at most use a tiny amount of dish-washing detergent and water with a soft toothbrush.”
