Emergency crews rushed to Event City in Trafford after reports scaffolding collapsed during a circus show just before 7pm.
A spokesman for Winter Funland confirmed to Manchester Evening News that at least three people had suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses described scenes of panic as about 20 seats collapsed in the circus tent – with young children in tears.
James Moakes and his partner Sofia Gomes said they had been at the circus show, saying: “We saw an entire bench fall down and that’s when it started.
“A section of the seating collapsed on itself. It was about 20 seats. People were panicking. The lights went off and no one knew what to do. Everything fell forward, we felt the floor vibrating.
“The floor trembled. We saw the bench collapse in on itself. We heard screaming and panicking.”
