HISTORY maker Fallon Sherrock was not short of support ahead of her momentous third-round clash at the World Darts Championship.
Hundreds raised the roof inside the Ally Pally when one sport’s current stars stepped out to face Chris Dobey in London.
Boozed-up fans not only showed their vocal support, some even dressed up as the woman of the moment.
Wearing her renowned pink jersey, bright blonde hair and specs, fans inside copied her look in the hope that she would cause yet another huge upset.
Others held up signs that included ‘Will you marry me, Fallon?’ and ‘Fallon, I will do your ironing?’
Sherrock, 25, stunned fans when she became the first woman to beat a male opponent at the championships in the first round.
Anyone believing it was a fluke was proved when she then knocked out 11th seed Mensur Suljovic to set up the clash with Dobey.
She was given an almighty reception as she stepped onto the stage but that was nothing compared to the noise when she won the first set against the fellow Brit.
A chorus of ironic cheers rang around the arena when Dobey missed double five meaning Sherrock could check out 77 to take the advantage.
She was then pegged back in the second set but surged ahead again in the third which included a staggering 142 check out.
Dobey then would level the match at 2-2 to take it to two clear sets with nearly the entire crowd willing her on.

But her heroic journey would end there as Newcastle’s Dobey upped his game to win the next two sets and take the match 4-2.
As the crowd applauded her journey at the Alexandra Palace, Dobey was eager to ensure his opponent received all the praise.
She headed off stage for the final time to a massive roar and deservedly so after smashing the glass ceiling for women to compete at the World Championships.
Sherrock said after her loss: “The dream is come back and compete here next year.
“It’s been an amazing experience. I’ve enjoyed myself so much.”
