DEMI Lovato will make her return to the stage later this month when she performs at the Grammys 2020.
The 27-year-old singer will take to the stage at Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 62nd version of the annual music event on January 26.
It will be the first time Demi has performed in public since overdosing in 2018.
Revealing the news on Instagram, Demi shared a posed up picture of herself which shows her pouting for the camera whilst sat on a sleek cream sofa.
Wearing beige trousers and a pink trench coat, the Skyscraper songstress wore her dark hair in a slick bob and completed her look with a pair of chunky black ankle boots.
Demi captioned the post: “I told you the next time you’d hear from me I’d be singing #GRAMMYs @recordingacademy @cbstv.”
Of course, the singer was inundated with praise from fans who were certainly excited to see her singing again.
And Demi also received compliments from plenty of her famous pals too.
Model Ashley Graham commented: “Can’t wait for this!!!” while The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown wrote: “YESSS HONEY! Go show them!! So happy for you!!”
The news comes 18 months after Demi was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after emergency services were called to her home due to an opioid overdose.
It was reported that she had taken oxycodone laced with fentanyl and was revived with naloxone.
Demi was hospitalized for two weeks and subsequently entered an in-patient rehab facility.
In December 2018 she took to Twitter to address her overdose, telling her fans: “If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF.
“All my fans need to know is I’m working hard on myself, I’m happy and clean and I’m SO grateful for their support.”
She went on to add that some day she will “tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up s**t that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal”.
It’s not the first time Demi had been to rehab, having previously struggled with depression, a eating disorder and self harm.
In the midst of securing her Grammys gig, Demi found herself single again after splitting from her boyfriend Austin Wilson.
She and the LA-based model parted ways in December last year, with Demi confirming the sad news via social media.
“Please don’t go after him. He’s a good guy. Much better than what people see on the outside just because he’s got a lot of tattoos,” she explained to her followers.
However, it seems her career is going from strength to strength as just last week she made her return to acting with a short stint in popular television series, Will and Grace.
It was confirmed last year that Demi would appear in three episodes of the show’s final season, playing Will’s surrogate Jenny.
Demi has done plenty of acting in the past, starring in shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Prison Break and Glee.
