Meanwhile, Billie shared a snap of the trio on-board the carriage.
She wrote: “Tourists for the day (3 old ladies with our blanket over us) #newyork”.
Despite their cheery expressions, fans were quick to accuse the stars of “animal cruelty.”
One wrote: “You shouldn’t be sitting in that carriage looking so pleased with yourselves knowing how badly those poor horses are treated, especially you Sam with your new found love of them and Rosie being so into ponies.”

Another stated: “You should use your platform to inform people about the cruelty.”
A third commented: “I love you guys but this is animal cruelty you should delete the photo it’s not setting a good example for the poor horses xx.”
A fourth follower said: “I guess a great pic for instragram is a better feeling than how the poor horse was being treated. Just take a good look at how the horses are cruelly treated and neglected. Maybe next time you’ll think again…”
Animal rights groups claim the tradition is cruel and inhumane as the animals are expected to pull heavy loads and navigate alongside busy city traffic.

On their way to the Big Apple, the former Towie stars sparked complaints from passengers on board their first class flight.
Billie lashed out at British Airways staff on social media after they were told to be quiet during the flight.
She wrote: “I would like to say a huge thank you to some of the staff @British_Airways at the airport…
“However… Since being on the plane someone has complained because me, my mum, and sister have been laughing.

“Yes, laughing – how dare we, on our way to New York.
“Anyhow, that fun sucker [BA staff] from @British_Airways told us to ‘keep the noise down’… Please honey, are we not even allowed to laugh these days?”
