COPS swooped on kidnap mum Karen Matthews and her paedo fiancé’s home yesterday after receiving reports of a disturbance at the property.
A police car on blue flashing lights was scrambled to the house, whose location cannot be revealed, at around 4pm.
Officers spoke to both Matthews, 44, and her lover Paul Saunders, 57, but made no arrests before leaving.
They made door to door enquiries as to whether anyone had heard any shouting before leaving.
The sick couple are said to have had a series of nasty rows recently, with Matthews threatening to call the cops.
A source said: “Matthews and Saunders had just come in not so long ago from shopping with loads of bags when police knocked on her door.
CONVICTED PAEDO
“The cops asked a few neighbours if they’ve heard any shouting or noises but then were quickly on their way.
“They have had reports of some kind of disturbance.”
Matthews, jailed for eight years for faking the kidnap of daughter Shannon, is madly in love with Saunders.
They met when he was doing repair works round her flat, which she moved to at the expense of the taxpayer.
Matthews and Saunders had just come in not so long ago from shopping with loads of bags when police knocked on her door

Saunders is a convicted paedophile on the sex offenders’ register jailed for five years for abusing a child.
He was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of failing to follow notification rules in place to let authorities keep track of him.
Back in 2010 he admitted engaging in sexual activity with the teenager, making indecent images of her and two counts of sexual assault.
The Sun’s exclusive earlier this month revealed how the twisted pair were now an item and set to wed.
Matthews met her handyman fiancé when he did odd jobs at her home and he proposed over Christmas.

Following the story Saunders was arrested on suspicion of failing to notify authorities of his circumstances.
He was released under investigation.
The police force where Matthews lives were contacted by the Sun over this latest cop visit but did not immediately return a comment last night.
