Southampton striker Shane Long caught doing 101mph in his £120,000 Porsche
PREMIER League star Shane Long was caught doing 101mph on the M27 in his £120,000 Porsche, magistrates heard.
The Southampton striker — thought to be paid £60,000 a week — was fined £440 for speeding in his Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo.
And he was handed six points — the same number as Premier League goals he has scored in the past two seasons.
The Irish international’s speeding offence took place on October 20 last year, a day after Southampton drew away at Wolves and five days before they were thrashed 9-0 by Leicester.
Long, 33, who lives in a £1.4million home in West Wellow, Hants, admitted the offence but chose not to appear at Aldershot magistrates’ court.
He must also pay a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £85.
