What happened to Marlon Dingle in Emmerdale and is he leaving?
EMMERDALE’S Marlon Dingle is living in fear of a life behind bars after being charged with Graham Foster’s brutal murder – a crime actually committed by Rhona’s ex Pierce Harris.

Why is Marlon in prison in Emmerdale?
Marlon is currently stuck behind bars fearing a long sentence after being arrested and charged for Graham’s brutal murder.
The devoted father appears to have a strong motive for the murder after discovering that Rhona and Graham were planning on whisking his son Leo abroad without his permission.
In the wake of his shocking discovery, he vowed to get revenge on Graham.
But fans will know that the crime was actually committed by Rhona’s rapist ex-husband Pierce Harris.
The truth was revealed at the end of Emmerdale’s explosive week of special episodes, which saw Graham’s murder played out from the perspectives of various suspects.
The final episode revealed that the killer was in fact Pierce, who had just been released early from prison after being sentenced to five years for raping his wife in 2017.
Pierce has kept his release from jail a secret in order to keep himself off the radar when it comes to Graham’s murder.
Instead, a baffled Marlon has taken the fall for Pierce’s crime after the police found a blood-stained torch under his kitchen sink.
Is Rhona going to prove Marlon’s innocence?
Marlon’s former lover Rhona is convinced that Marlon did not murder her boyfriend Graham and has set out to prove his innocence.
Viewers have watched Rhona scrabble around for evidence to drop the real killer in it.
But so far she’s not even come close to the scent and believes Kim and Al were the masterminds behind his death.
With everyone on the wrong track, it’s looking like Marlon’s prison ordeal could be dragged out over a long time.
However, official spoilers have revealed that Pierce is going to be caught breaking into Home Farm next week by Al.
Pierce is also set to make his return known to Rhona’s best friend Vanessa.
If the pair are lucky enough to survive their run-ins with murderous Pierce, it’s likely they’ll put two and two together and realise he was the one who executed Graham’s demise.
Fans have been left devastated by the turn of events and flocked to Twitter to beg for Marlon’s release.
One fan said: “Release Marlon asap please!”
Another added: “OMG @emmerdale is actually breaking my heart. Poor Marlon, please let them find out the truth! @markcharnock you are amazing!”
A third tweeted: “My heart is breaking poor Marlon he didn’t do it.”
