Amazing moment mom gives birth to son on neighbor’s front yard after baby arrived before she could leave for hospital
THIS is the amazing moment a brave mom gave birth to a baby boy in her neighbor’s front yard before she could go to the hospital.
Virginia woman Amy Robinson’s delivery was caught on a Ring doorbell camera when her waters unexpectedly broke back in September.
Her husband Andrew Robinson said she knocked on a neighbor’s door to see if they could watch their kids, Eleanor and Henry, during her hospital visit.
Little did they know their baby was already on the way as the incredible footage – filmed on September 6 – shows.
Andrew told Newsflare: “My wife’s due date was September 11, but as of her appointment on the sixth, we knew the baby was going to be arriving sometime in the next 24 hours.”
The proud parents thought they would have a few hours before their son’s arrival but he recalled how “out of nowhere things got intense.”
SURPRISE BIRTH
He said: “We decided to head to the hospital (about 1 mile away) a couple minutes after 5pm.
“Around 5:08 my wife knocked on the neighbor’s door to watch the kids for 15 minutes or so until my parents could get over.
“Right after talking to our neighbor, another big contraction came while I was gathering the hospital bag.”
It was then Andrew heard his wife’s shriek of pain as her water broke on the sidewalk outside their neighbor’s home.
“Our neighbor helped her through contractions,” he explained.
“With the previous two children, once the water broke, the baby arrived within minutes so I knew we had no time.’
But things got even more dramatic when Amy realized she would have to push moments after calling 911.
The mom-of-three realized their new arrival would be here sooner than the EMTs who answered the call.
ARTHUR’S ARRIVAL
“Our neighbor went in to grab towels to keep the baby warm,” Andrew continued, adding that by the time she came back at 5.17 pm, a lot had changed.
“[Our] baby boy Arthur Alexander had arrived right into my arms with my wife standing on the sidewalk and my 3-year-old son right next to me,” he said.
EMTs then helped Amy through the rest of her delivery, cutting the umbilical cord as she and 6 lbs 14 oz Arthur Alexander boarded the ambulance.
“After initial checks, the three of us made it off to the hospital while the firemen cleaned up,” Andrew added.

Five months on, the proud dad said the Robinsons are doting their newest family member who is thriving.
“Everyone was fine and we now are adjusting to life with three little ones under four, ” Andrew gushed.
“It’s quite exciting in our home any given moment!”
