Alun Wyn Jones shows why he’s Wales captain as he adjusts team-mate’s collar before Six Nations clash against Ireland
ALUN WYN JONES showed why he is Wales’ captain by neatly adjusting the collar of his team-mate before his side’s Six Nations clash with Ireland.
Alun Wyn tidied up the appearance of his inside centre Hadleigh Parkes’ collar while introducing every member of his team to Irish president Michael D. Higgins.
As captain it is customary for Wyn Jones to individually introduce his side to the Irish dignitaries during the pre-match build up to a Six Nations clash at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Wales’ talismanic captain is vastly experienced and is well on the way to becoming Rugby Union’s most capped player.
The 34-year-old second row who plays for the Ospreys made his debut for Wales against Ireland in the Six Nations 13 years ago.
Alun Wyn had an impressive first half in the Celtic clash between Ireland and Wales, topping the tackle charts.
He also played an important role in Tomos Williams’ first half try with a phenomenal one-handed offload off the floor.
The touch of class he showed before a massive game did not go unnoticed with fans on social media.
