MANY parents will know that pouring big milk cartons can be disastrous for little kids, and more liquid can end up on the floor than in cereal bowls.
However mum Kate Anderson has come up with a genius hack to limit spillages, and all you need is an old bottle of ketchup.

Kate came up with the clever trick when she was washing up old bottles for recycling.
Without thinking, she accidentally screwed the lid of an old ketchup bottle onto a milk bottle and had a eureka moment.
She realised that by using the ketchup lid on all her future milk bottles, she would limit time spent crying over spilt milk in the family home.
Kate decided to try out her ‘safer’ bottle on her seven-year-old child, and it worked perfectly.

Kate told Kidspot that it has not only limited mess, but also saved her time in the mornings before school cleaning up after her messy kid.
She said: “I really thought I was the only one who didn’t know this, but posted it just in case others didn’t know.
“I wasn’t expecting anything from it. My kids love it, they think they are so grown up.”
Her handy hack was shared by the Happy Mum Happy Child page, with the caption: “Fun fact: your tomato sauce lid will fit on the milk bottle. Perfect for kids who want to do it themselves but often spill it.”
Many people were quick to be impressed by the hack, with one saying: “This is awesome! Thanks for sharing.”
Another added: “That’s such a great tip! For me as much as the independent toddler!”
And one wrote: “This is genius!”
