ARSENAL are likely to lose out on Dayot Upamecano because Barcelona and Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign the 21-year-old superstar.
Transfer expert Kevin Hatchard delivered the disappointing news to Gunners fans on talkSPORT.
Centre-back Upamecano is reportedly “dreaming” of a move to the Premier League and is said to be delaying signing a new RB Leipzig deal amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.

Funnily enough, Arsene Wenger could have signed the £50million-rated star for just £1m back in 2015.
And it looks like they are set to miss out again, with a move to Spain or Germany proving more appealing.
Hatchard said: “The situation that Leipzig have with him is that his contract expires at the end of next season so they would like him to sign a new deal.
“They say that’s not out of the question, realistically he is going to move at the end of the season.
“Bayern are very much interested, would love to sign him, Barcelona have been very strongly linked with him as well so it is going to be a proper scrap I think in the summer for his signature.
“I’m not sure of the Arsenal link, unless they can convince him there is a long-term project there, I’m not sure Arsenal have got much chance of signing him.”
Upamecano has just 18 months left to run on his current deal with the Bundesliga side.
He moved to RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg for £9m in 2017.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the 21-year-old, but were priced out of a move for him in the January transfer window.
Jose Mourinho is also thought to be interested in a bid for Upamecano.
The Special One was in the crowd to see Leipzig draw 0-0 with Bayern Munich last weekend in their top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash.
