TWIX fans can now get their hands on salted caramel versions of their favourite chocolate bars and they sound incredible.
The treats, which are made with “an extra pinch of salt, have been spotted in Co-op stores by shoppers.
The sweet snacks are just the same as normal Twix bars but are made with a layer of salted caramel between the biscuit and milk chocolate cover coating instead of plain.
The sweet and savoury twist on a traditional chocolate bar has previously proved to be a hit with other brands.
Two years ago, Nestle brought out salted caramel fudge KitKat Chunky bars, while M&M’s launched their own salted caramel versions last year.
The two finger snacks are only available to buy in the “xtra” versions though meaning they’re more expensive than your standard Twix.
For example, the chocs weigh 75g compared to 50g for your normal Twix, although the original flavour does come in a larger size too.
You can pick up a standard sized twin bar for 60p at Tesco, while the extra large salted caramel versions will set you back £1.
Strangely, they contain fewer calories than a normal-sized pack – 224 calories per pack – or 184g per finger – compared to 248 calories.
The Co-op doesn’t offer an online shopping service so you’ll need to head into your nearest store if you want to try one.
