SHE has stunned fans with her incredible weight loss transformation – having shed a staggering seven stone in the space of just a few months.
And now a top TV diet expert has uncovered the secret behind Adele’s significantly slimmer frame.
Dr Michael Mosley, creator of the 5:2 diet and Fast800 lifestyle plan, says the hit singer has been practising a form of intermittent fasting called time-restricted feeding or 16:8.
The 16:8 diet allows you to eat for eight hours of the day, while fasting for the remaining 16 hours.
Only water, tea and coffee is allowed during the 16 hour fasting period.
And experts suggest dieters opt for lean meat, eggs, dairy, vegetables, nuts and beans each day during their eight hour window.
Studies say the diet will help shed the pounds without causing you to starve yourself.
As well as maximising weight loss, Dr Mosley also believes the diet will have had huge benefits for Adele’s mental health.
He said: “The Mediterranean-style diet has a critical role to play in healthy living; it is a very strong foundation for keeping your brain young and for your happiness.
“In fact gut health has an important link to mental health as your gut bacteria also produces a range of chemicals that influence your brain, from ‘feel good’ hormones like serotonin to hunger hormones.”
And he says fasting diets help to delay ageing and prevent the onset of chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
Dr Mosley explained: “One of the most compelling benefits of fasting is ‘autophagy’, which means ‘self-eat’.
“Autophagy is a natural process where dead, diseased or worn-out cells are broken down and gobbled up.
“In short, we need time off from constant eating so that our bodies can begin the process of repair.
“Autophagy is triggered by fasting and becomes more intense as time goes by. It stops once you eat.”
As well as the 16:8 diet, the hitmaker has taken up reformer pilates with pal Ayda Field.
The exercise classes involve a strange contraption to improve posture, flexibility and balance.
And last year, The Sun revealed Adele has secretly been following Joe’s high intensity workout videos.
She is also a fan of personal trainer Dalton Wong, who helps actors get into shape for roles, including her pal Jennifer Lawrence.

Despite this, Adele’s life mantra has always been about focusing on happiness first and looks second.
She previously said: “I think no matter what you look like, the key is to first of all be happy with yourself.
“And then you know if you want to try to improve things that you don’t like about yourself, then do it after you appreciate yourself.”
