A MAN was found dead this morning after he was stabbed in the neck as armed police have locked the street down, it has been reported.
Officers swooped in to a property in Stockton just after 10.15am and found a discovered a deceased man who had suffered from serious injuries.
A witness said the victim is 18 and was stabbed in the neck, Gazette Live reports.
Images from the scene show Ketton Road closed off as armed police walk around.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with this morning’s tragedy.
He remains in police custody.
Police are continuing to make their enquiries.
It is unclear why armed police were called to the scene.
Cleveland Police said in a statement:”Emergency services were called to an address on Ketton Close in Stockton just after 10.15am today (Monday 17th February).
“On arrival, a man was discovered inside the house. He had suffered serious injuries and he was sadly confirmed deceased.
“A 31 year old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody awaiting questioning.
