New TV drama The Trouble With Maggie Cole is set to grace our screens as early as March 2020, the actual date is still yet to be confirmed.
The six part series was created and written by David Brotherhood and will be shown on ITV. Viewers will be able to catch up on the show on ITV+1.

Vicar of Dibley legend Dawn French plays Maggie Cole and is the Executive Producer of the show.
ITV has billed the show as being in tradition of Doc Martin and The Darling Buds of May.
Interestingly, the drama was originally called “Glass Houses”, but producers had a change of heart and in the end chose to go with The Trouble with Maggie Cole.
The show is based in a picturesque, small coastal town called Thulbury, within a close-knit community.
Life in the town is turned upside down when Maggie, the community know it all, is interviewed by a radio journalist who wants to know what life is like in Thulbury.
Maggie gives the presenter more than they could bargain for and spews out personal, intimate details about various figures in the town to the reporter.
This causes a major ripple through the small town as Maggie sees and has to deal with the effect of her words and the disruption they have caused in the usually peaceful community.

Who is in the cast of The Trouble with Maggie?
The show has a star-studded cast including Dawn French as Maggie Cole and Julie Hesmondhalgh, who starred in Coronation street.
Maggie has been married for nearly four decades to Headmaster Peter (Mark Heap) and Julie Hesmondhalgh plays her best friend Jill.
Other stars include Mark Heap (Friday Night Dinner), Vicki Pepperdine (The Windsors) and Patrick Robinson (Casualty).
Vicki Pepperdine is set to play the school secretary and Patrick Robinson plays part-time resident Marcus who writes best-selling novels from a rented cottage.
Other notable roles in the production are the town’s GP Carol, local shopkeepers Emil and Roxanna and Kelly at the hair salon.
