Two men ‘confess to strangling’ model, 24, after horrific CCTV showed ‘bloody body with electric cord around her neck’
TWO men have reportedly confessed to murdering an aspiring model who went missing nearly a month ago in Los Angeles by strangling her with a power cord.
Los Angeles police feared 24-year-old Ana Braga, who went missing nearly a month ago, may be dead after cops reportedly found chilling CCTV footage they believe shows the body of the girl.
Police found surveillance footage reportedly showing a body covered in blood with a belt and electric cord wrapped around her neck, according to the New York Post.
Braga, who is from Brazil, went missing from her California home last month.
Delma Felix, Braga’s mother, told KTLA the last anyone heard from her daughter was when the two spoke on the phone Jan. 29.
Police said her car was later found more than 1,200 miles away in Oklahoma, where it sat abandoned for weeks.
A body that police believe matches the missing young woman’s description was found on Valentine’s day, the LAPD said, but cops are still working to identify the body, KFOR reported.
Secretary of Public Security, Roberto Sá told TV Gazeta that two men were arrested Saturday morning in connection with her disappearance.
Federal police in Brazil said Thiago Phillipe Souza Braganca and Wenderson Junior Dalbem Silva allegedly confessed to killing Braga in Los Angeles on Jan. 30, according to Brazil’s G1 news service.
Video surveillance that police got a hold of allegedly showed the two men walking into her apartment and later leaving with a large comforter-like item, likely hiding her body, Brazilian newspaper A Gazeta reported.
G1 reported the men also took a video of Braga after the crime and mocked her.
“I killed her,” one of the men said in the video, G1 reported.
After the alleged murder, the men reportedly ditched her car, fled to Mexico, and then flew to Brazil where they were later arrested.
Police have yet to find Braga’s body, but found traces of blood in her apartment.

Braganca also reportedly used the video taken after the alleged killing to threaten his father and grandparents, A Gazeta reported.
He said if his father wouldn’t give him money, he would do to his grandparents what was seen in the video, according to A Gazeta..
As police continue to investigate Braga’s disappearance, her mother hopes her body can be returned to Brazil, R7 news reported.
