The firm has moved more than 95 per cent of its lessons online after the Government’s social distancing advice and is continuing its sessions during the global pandemic.
Joe Hytner, founding director of Titanium Tutors, has himself recently recovered from Covid-19 and says he wants to give something back to brave help workers fighting the disease.
He said: “This is a way to say thank you and show our support to the NHS workers during the pandemic.
“We’ve had a lot of our tutors asking ‘what can we do to help?’ and how we can use the resources we have to help people during what is a very difficult time.
“The schools are still open for the children of NHS workers but hopefully this is something that can help lighten the load when they are at home recovering from their shifts.”
NHS workers may apply for up to 15 hours of free online tutoring from one of the volunteer tutors in any subject we offer.
Each successful family will be eligible for five free hours of tutoring per child, up to a maximum of three children.
It comes as millions of Brits have hailed the heroic work of NHS staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
Britain turned blue and joined in a mass round of applause last night to honour our healthcare heroes.
The Clap For Carers campaign, which started online, was staged because “during these unprecedented times they need to know we are grateful”, according to the organisers.
At 8pm, grateful Brits obeyed government advice to stay indoors and instead showed their support from inside their homes, on balconies and in their gardens.
Some set off fireworks as loud cheers rang across the UK to thank those risking their lives to fight the deadly virus.
