McDonald’s wants fans to choose which burgers are back on the menu when it reopens
MCDONALD’S is asking fans what burgers they would like to see back on the menu when restaurants open again.
The fast food chain temporarily closed all 1,350 branches across the UK on Monday to help keep staff and customers safe during the coronavirus crisis.

In its latest email to customers, Maccies has urged fans to keep an eye on its social media channel where it will be looking for your input on the menu when doors open once again.
It read: “We’ll be looking for your help in choosing which burgers we return with when we reopen.”
Does this mean we could see the return of the Signature Collection after they were dropped in August last year?
Or maybe it’s the French Stack or the Indian Chicken that you really want to see make a come back.

Or it might be that you just can’t wait until next Christmas to tuck into a Big Tasty.
Either way, you’re going to have to keep your eyes peeled on the chain’s social channels because Maccies is keeping tight-lipped about what’s on offer, or how we’ll get to choose.
They’re not even letting us in on when we’re going to be asked for our input.
In the latest newsletter, the fast food chain said that it was also working on a new website to give families “some Happy Meal magic at home”.
And the Fun Football team is putting together skills and drills guides for footballers young and old to keep us moving during the lock down.
A McDonald’s spokesperson told The Sun: “Since our closure on Monday night, we have seen hundreds of messages from people telling us what they already miss from McDonald’s.
“We will keep in touch with our fans and followers as we start preparing our menu for reopening.”
Maccies had initially decided to offer a take away service only after the government ordered the closure of all pubs and restaurants over a week ago.

But it decided to close altogether after customers flouted rules and continued to flood to its restaurants.
It stopped serving food from 7pm on Monday night but some cheeky fans seized the opportunity to flog Big Macs and chicken McNuggets on eBay.
The food giant gave away left over stock to food banks and charities in the days after the shut down to help reduce food waste.
