MONEY Heist fans are convinced Alicia Sierra is set to join the resistance in season five of the Netflix favourite.
Viewers have earmarked the police inspector after an easy-to-miss clue in the credits.
The fourth season of the Spanish Netflix show, also known as La Casa de Papel, ended with Alicia (Najwa Nimri) holding a gun at the professor’s (Alvaro Morte) head.
The professor is the mastermind behind the heist and pregnant Alicia has been set on bringing the group down.
In a turn of events she was forced to go on the run herself after revealing a series of police crimes to the press.
In the last episodes final moments she holds a gun to the professor after hunting him down and exclaims “checkmate, you son of a b****.”
The credits then roll to the song Bella Ciao, an Italian protest song, which has featured throughout the show representing the thoughts and ideals of the heist team.
As the words are translated from Spanish to English it reads: “Sierra singing ‘Bella Ciao’.
One fan wrote on Reddit: “Sierra does not have a life anymore outside this. She’s committed crimes, she has confessed to them publicly, and even dragged along the higher ups.
“They’re not gonna let her go. Might as well be part of the resistance I guess.”

Another added their idea of how the drama might develop and wrote: “After a long talk with the professor, Sierra joins the team after the name of Paris.
“She makes an emotional bond with the girls and her child is called Ibiza.”
Parts 1-4 of Money Heist are available to stream on Netflix.
But viewers could face a long two year wait for season five as coronavirus hits filming schedules across the world.
