Who is Dynamo aka Steven Frayne?
Dynamo – also known as Steven Frayne – was born on December 17, 1982, in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
He shot to fame thanks to his TV show Dynamo: Magician Impossible, which ran from July 2011 to September 2014.
One of the first tricks he ever learned was taught to him by his grandad, who showed him how to make it seem like he weighed a large amount, so other kids wouldn’t pick him up.
He has gone on to perform stunts on Channel 4, in adverts for Pepsi, Nokia and Adidas, and for big charitable shows such as BBC One’s Comic Relief.

What has Dynamo said about his battle with Crohn’s disease?
Dynamo revealed in 2017 that he suffers from Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory bowel condition which requires him to take daily medication.
He was diagnosed when he was a teenager and had to have half his stomach removed aged 17.
After getting food poisoning in 2017, Dynamo developed arthritis – affecting all the joints in his body including his toes, knees, neck, ankle and hands.
In a video posted on Twitter he said “I’ve been keeping a bit more of a low profile as I got really sick and ended up in hospital last summer with a bad type of food poisoning.
“Having food poisoning and Crohn’s disease is a very bad combination.”

Project 7, his first all-magic telly show since Magician Impossible ended in 2014, will see Dynamo travel around the globe performing close-up miracles, impossible predictions and unbelievable feats of magic.

What’s Dynamo’s net worth?
According to Forbes, in 2016 Dynamo was the fourth highest-paid magician of the year.
He was estimated at the time to be worth $18million (£13.6million).
This was largely attributed to a large ad campaign with Samsung Galaxy, his TV slot Dynamo Live At The O2 and his private appearances.
