Weekly horoscope for April 26 – May 2 – your week ahead according to Kerry King and her tarot cards

ARIES (Seven of Cups, Ace of Cups, Seven of Swords)

Mmm… what are you up to Aries? This trio of cards, at their most blunt, could tell a tale of secret love affairs and hidden romances emerging in your world.

The Seven and Ace of Cups combine to suggest you have a secret “crush” on someone, and have been indulging in lovely daydreams about getting together.

Turns out these daydreams are not as outlandish as they seem, because this person DOES feel the same about you. The Seven of Swords, however, shows that this romance might have to remain under wraps for some reason.

Maybe others would disapprove, maybe one of you isn’t single, maybe it’s just “complicated”.

If this is NOT happening in your world at all (rest assured all of you happily married Aries!), then perhaps it’s you trying to do something nice for your partner, which you’re keeping to yourself until you’re certain you can pull it off.

Don’t be put off, you can make this happen, and they will be so surprised and happy with your efforts.

TAURUS (Temperance, King of Cups, King of Swords)

You are a stoic person, you don’t like change, you yourself have always remained pretty much the same person you always have been… and yet something IS changing.

The power card here is Temperance, which is all about balance and harmony, finding a “new normal” after an extreme event or a crisis has undermined your previous status quo.

Temperance shows that you’re regaining your footing, but it’s not the same ground you stood on before, the ground has shifted and you can’t go back.

The dual forces of the King of Swords vs the King of Cups shows that you feel conflicted about this shift.

You accept, mentally, that you can’t return to how you were before, but, emotionally, you are still coming to terms with things and even with how you’ve changed.

That’s okay, let this unfold naturally, let yourself off the hook.

You need a bit of elbow room to find a new comfy spot to bed down in, and you need some quiet time and space to ponder and reflect on the changes you’re experiencing.

GEMINI (The Emperor, The Star, The Hermit)

Wow, a trio of major arcana cards means this is an important week for you Gem.

These are “power cards”, representing significant shifts, things outside of your control, nudges from the Universe. So, what’s going on?

Firstly, The Emperor has you feeling full of intention and purpose, seeing the path you can carve out which could lead to a big success and achievement.

You are feeling powerful, in control, and like you know just what it is that you need to focus on. This sense of purpose is invigorating.

Secondly, The Star reveals that your venture will be blessed with good fortune and success!

So, go at it 100%, go all in, invest yourself fully. The higher you aim, the better the outcome.

Don’t squander this powerful Emperor energy you’ve got going on into anything second-best or uninspiring. Go after your biggest, boldest dream.

Thirdly, The Hermit shows that this is a serious and solitary endeavour. Something you can do from home, something requiring concentration and focus, something you alone have the talent to execute.

CANCER (Ace of Coins, Nine of Coins, Five of Wands)

Something, specifically the pesky Five of Wands, is getting in the way of your best-laid plans, the proverbial fly in the ointment. Who or what is it?

All I can tell you is that it’s something you argue about, or with, and it’s getting on your nerves.

The good news, this week, is that this storm cloud is going to fade from view this week, leaving you free to get on with your business.

The Ace and Nine of Coins reveals that this is related to work or home, specifically a project of improvement or education, something you want to invest in to make your world better.

It’s long-term and ultimately extremely rewarding, but up until now this pesky “fly” has been blocking and distracting you from getting on with things.

Relax and have faith that the skirmish is drawing to a close. Don’t do anything to make it worse, sit back and disengage from the argument.

You are going to win, largely by doing nothing, so just wait it out.

LEO (Nine of Swords, Six of Coins, Three of Coins)

Last week you had a bit of a mini-meltdown, Leo-style as in there was drama and passionate declarations and theatricals. Naturally.

The Nine of Swords shows you are not entirely out of the woods, but you’re feeling better and you acknowledge the healing power of talking it out with trusted friends and family.

So, this week, you want to repay the favour and check in with your closest people as to how they’re doing.

The Three and Six of Coins combine to recommend this course of action. You have a natural warmth, you love looking after people, you care about and understand their problems, and you’re always there for those you love.

Get on the blower, send the emails, fire up the video call. Check in and spend some time listening to those you care about, show them your nurturing side and be a confidant and an advisor.

VIRGO (The Sun, King of Wands, Eight of Coins)

Ultra-organised as you are, I suspect you had a slew of travel and holiday plans already in mind for 2020… all of which have now gone out of the window!

However, the combination of The Sun and the King of Wands (both patron saints of travel and adventure) means that you CAN still do some planning, researching (and importantly, probably, saving) for your next excursion post-lockdown.

The Eight of Coins asks you to persist here, it’s not frivolous or irrelevant, because we ALL need things to look forward to, to have on our horizons, to work for and towards.

What inspires you? Where do you want to go?

Look into both near and far options, because who knows what restrictions there might be, BUT we WILL be able to move around at some point and, at that point, you will want to get out there and explore.

You are ruled by Mercury, so travel and new horizons matter to you, you need fresh landscapes and new stimulus.

LIBRA (The Chariot, Five of Cups, Knight of Swords)

Typically, you are an extremely conflict-adverse personality, you hate fights (unless you’re just spectating, in which case bring it on).

This week, however, the Knight of Swords and The Chariot see you gearing up to stick up for yourself (or someone close to you).

You know the current situation cannot continue and you’re going to step in and make changes, force them through, get this moving, get this issue dealt with finally.

The Five of Cups reveals this is something you wish you’d tackled earlier, but you let it run on, hoping it’d burn itself out… it hasn’t.

You regret that now, but regrets don’t get things done, action does. And you’ve had enough of feeling bad about it, so now is the time to step in and sort things out.

You need to make a concerted effort this week, Scorpio, to do some research and some networking to help secure things on the home and work front.

The Ten of Coins shows that your financial and material security is bothering you, you’re not alone there, and you feel like you can make some moves which will help alleviate the current strain, and future-proof things for the coming weeks and months.

The Eight of Wands says it’s all about communication.

Asking the right questions, researching, reaching out to people who can help, asking for guidance and advice, putting yourself on lists and forums.

Whatever it is you’re worried about, you can bet a whole heap of other people are in the same boat, and will have made headway on figuring out their options.

Go find out what’s possible, and make yourself feel better as a result.

Strength is a powerful card here, and shows that others are leaning on you, looking to you to lead the way (that’s OK, you’re used to it).

This process of anchoring your work and home world on firmer shores will build your fortitude and resilience, as well as strengthening your current position.

SAGITTARIUS (King of Coins, Eight of Swords, Page of Cups)

Sometimes you feel like you don’t have an assertive voice, you either feel like you’ve been passive or overly aggressive, it’s really hard to find that middle ground.

The King of Coins and Page of Cups reveal that, this week, you WILL find your own level of assertiveness, and you will feel comfortable in your own skin with it.

Expressing your beliefs, asking for what you need, telling people how it can work for you are all going to be on your to-do list this next seven days, and practice makes perfect here.

You’ll be surprised at how easily and naturally you find the right words and tone, and are understood and accepted.

So, don’t hold your tongue, or suppress your needs. Tell them how it is.

The Eight of Swords further reveals that this is a major breakthrough for you personally.

You will smash down a self-limiting barrier which has held you back up till now, and you won’t believe it was all as easy as just giving yourself a voice, and being heard.

You vow, from now on, to always speak out and express yourself. You have found your voice.

CAPRICORN (Three of Cups, Ace of Swords, Three of Swords)

A little squall lies on your horizon, Cap, a storm in a teacup which is sparked by somebody saying something they perhaps, in hindsight, will come to regret, however the fact is: it’s the truth.

Listen carefully to what’s said to you this week, even light-heartedly or in jest.

The Three of Cups shows that a frivolous conversation or chat will reveal something that wasn’t meant to emerge. You’re all ears now, aren’t you!

The Ace of Swords shows that it is the truth, unvarnished and unwelcome perhaps, but still the truth.

The Three of Swords shows this has the potential to spoil a relationship or friendship, and there is some element of betrayal / backstabbing here (well, when people talk behind each other’s backs, then that is usually the sentiment assumed by the one being discussed).

So, tread carefully, try and stay on the fringes of this rather than in the middle.

Don’t spread the news. Keep your own counsel. Keep your opinions to yourself too.

Somehow, this gossipy little squall is going to benefit you, in some weird way, down the line. So, I guess that is why you get this “front row seat”.

Enjoy the show but stay at the back. For goodness sake, don’t join them on the stage!

AQUARIUS (The Lovers, Five of Swords, Nine of Swords)

You just can’t make your mind up about someone this week, and it’s bugging you.

The Five of Swords and The Lovers show that this is an intense relationship, one you had high hopes for, and does still show glimpses of being wonderful… until they totally irritate you and do something you struggle to understand.

You feel conflicted: stay with it or cut ties? It’s like a head vs heart decision, and you feel so very torn.

I think only time will tell here. Going over and over it in your head, as shown by the anxious Nine of Swords, will not resolve anything or help you see things any clearer.

Let their actions speak louder than their words, see what they do, see what happens.

You have time on your side, and you’re not really in any rush to make a final decision here.

Give them enough rope… well, just see what they do with it, and then make your choice. Let their actions guide your decision.

PISCES (Knight of Wands, Ten of Cups, Nine of Cups)

Romantic vibes all around for you this week, Pisces, lucky you.

The Nine and Ten of Cups shows that whatever love situation you’re in, expect it to 100% improve and heat up!
